Why Raven Herron & Company?

Transitioning from standard employment necessity to genuine professional satisfaction, I joined Raven Herron & Company to align my daily work with a firm that shares my personal and client-first values. With my youngest daughter off to college, I embraced the opportunity to pivot toward a role built on passion and shared purpose rather than routine. I have always believed our industry is split between those who merely meet the bare minimum and those who actively champion their clients’ long-term success. Raven Herron & Company distinctly exemplifies the latter, and I am proud to be part of a team that deeply emphasizes a culture of growth, dedicated service, and meaningful client relationships.

Why me?

I began my financial career in hospital administration before pivoting to the tax world while my youngest child was in elementary school—a move driven by a desire for greater family balance. Though I brought years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Online to my initial bookkeeping role, moving into tax preparation sparked my true passion: helping clients understand the reason and rhyme behind their numbers. I strongly believe clients should be empowered, active participants in their personal and business finances. We bring this vision to life by building lasting relationships centered on doing what is right for each client’s unique goals and expected outcomes.

What makes me capable?

Driven by an early passion for business and finance right out of high school, I bring over 35 years of hands-on experience supported by advanced coursework and certifications across management, tax, consulting and financial disciplines. As a have recently passed the exams for certification as and IRS Enrolled Agent, I will hold the highest tax designation awarded by the IRS, granting me the authority to represent clients before the agency when needed. I leverage this deep well of education and industry expertise to deliver the elevated level of service, clarity, and exceptional results our clients expect and deserve.

About me?

Raised in Deer Park, Texas, alongside two brothers, I always held a strong desire for rural living—a goal I proudly achieved after completing high school and college. Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my husband, my grown children, and my personal zoo, which includes dogs, cats, horses, pigs, cows, a rooster, and an ever-evolving collection of reptiles such as bearded dragons, geckos, snakes, and monitors. My passion for the outdoors extends to cultivating organic gardens and nurturing native Texas ornamental plants.
