Why Raven Herron & Company?
I’m thrilled to be part of the team at Raven A. Herron & Company. Early in my career, I knew I didn’t want to work at a “Big 4” firm just processing returns. I wanted to connect with clients, solve problems, and make a real difference. From my first conversation with Raven, I knew this was the kind of firm where I could do that. I take pride in building strong client relationships and treating every engagement with care.
Why me?
Since 2015, I’ve worked with a variety of clients—medical and legal professionals, real estate owners, service-based contractors, and individuals. Because this is a second career for me, I bring a lot of life experience into my role as an advisor, helping clients navigate both the numbers and real-world situations. I enjoy helping clients understand their QuickBooks, financial statements, and tax situations in practical, easy-to-grasp ways.
What makes me Capable?
I hold a Master of Science in Accountancy & Taxation from Southern New Hampshire University and earned my CPA in 2016. I’m also a QuickBooks Desktop ProAdvisor and an Advanced ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Online, helping clients navigate both day-to-day accounting and broader financial planning.
About me
I’m a native Texan from a small town north of Houston. After spending 15 years moving around the country (Montana, Illinois, and Delaware), I’ve settled back in Texas with my two boys. I love spending time outdoors with them—one of our favorite ways to unwind is renting kayaks at Zilker Park and spending the day on the water.
My journey into accounting wasn’t straightforward. I originally dreamed of becoming a veterinarian but realized my strengths were better suited to numbers and analysis than lab work or the sciences. Switching to Business Management let me build on those skills, which eventually led to a Master’s in Accounting and Taxation and earning my CPA.
