Why Raven Herron & Company?

With my children grown and making their own way in this world, I had been taking a hard look at my life path, leading to making decisions about the direction I wanted to steer my life moving forward. I learned Raven was growing and needing additional resources with tax work. We had several awesome visits, and her energy, enthusiasm and positivity struck a strong chord with me. I am so excited to be part of the Raven Herron team!

Why me?

Since 2011, I have been working in tax. During this time, I have had the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience in preparation of state and federal tax returns for individuals and businesses. My business tax return experience includes a wide cross-section of industries including oil and gas, farming, construction, mechanical contractors, medical professionals, real estate, retail sales, wholesale sales, technology innovation, film production. I love working with clients, getting to know them and understand what they need, and learn how our team can best meet their needs.

What makes me capable?

I am a Certified Management Accountant and have over thirty years’ experience working in the accounting and finance field. In addition to nine years’ experience in tax, I have over twenty years’ experience in industry, ranging from a publicly traded company to a small manufacturer. My experience includes financial statement preparation, budgeting and strategic planning, management reporting, variance analysis.

About me

My heart is my family; my three children are all making their own way in this world and I could not be prouder of their individual awesomeness! I love hanging out with my family and friends, and being outdoors as much as possible. Camping, hiking and gardening are my top picks for enjoying the outdoors. I have recently taken up hiking again and am working up to taking on the Lighthouse Trail in Palo Duro Canyon, hiking Caprock Canyon, and, of course, Big Bend.
