As a Bookkeeping Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of supporting clients by leveraging our bookkeeping processes using the latest technology. You’ll work closely with clients, ensuring they receive a thoughtful and intentional client experience and use your critical thinking skills to manage projects and various initiatives as they are assigned. Key Responsibilities:

Client Management

  • Manage client communication promptly
  • Review and update tasks as work progresses
  • Prepare for, attend and help manage client meetings

Data Entry

  • Provide both daily and monthly support to client accounts
  • Record financial transactions
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Monitor or manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist in payroll preparation and oversite
  • Assist in developing annual budgets
  • Assist in analyzing cash flow
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local filings

Office Administration

  • Manage client files and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Maintain your calendar
  • Provide support to the leadership team for special projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by exploring new technologies and tools that can enhance our office efficiency and client experience. Your innovative ideas will be welcomed and encouraged.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

3+ Years of accounting experience preferred.

QuickBooks Online Certified preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with cloud-based productivity tools.

Willingness to adapt and learn new technology.

Ability to work independently.

Critical thinking skills.

Excellent time management.

Experience with managing multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets; willingness to work extra hours during year end close or at other deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 40 hrs/week with a small amount of overtime possible during certain months.

Salary: Based on experience, starting at $20 per hour.
